Version II is the best portrait lens to date. Version II has a faster focus and focuses about 25% faster than version I.
Due to the narrow field of depth at f /1.2 a beautiful background blurring is created. With this in mind, take portrait photos at a shutter speed of 1/8000 along with f /1.2 stop to appreciate this effect. Consider yourself warned, you must be a master focuser. It is crucial that there exists a thorough understanding of the field of depth. Otherwise, the portrait will look out of focus. Try to use one point of focus or do a manual focus to the area that you want to appear in focus.
