Includes: Lens caps and UV filter
Description
The Image Stabilizer of this lens provides the effect of a shutter speed two stops faster. This lens features two IS modes: Stabilizer 1 is the same mode found on the EF 75-300mm lens, and Stabilizer 2, which steadies the image during horizontal or vertical panning. The lens is also half the weight of the 300mm f/2.8L IS, with a close focus distance of 4.9 feet. And like all of Canon fixed focal length L-series lenses above 135mm, it is compatible with Canon's EF 1.4x II and 2x II Extenders.
Comment
The lightest and the least expensive super telephoto L lens, it is less popular than the Canon 100-400 lens. The 300mm f/4 IS features a nice built-in-lens hood and is more manageable when compared to the 100-400 lens. The hood for the 100-400 lens makes it bigger which can take up more space in a camera bag.
