Description

The upgrade EF 24-105mm f/4L IS version II is an excellent midrange zoom lens for Canon Full frame DSLRs.  This version II of the popular lens makes improvements to image quality through the use of a new optical design with four glass-molded aspherical elements, which helps to limit vignetting in your images. Also, it uses an Air Sphere Coating to reduce ghosting and flaring.

Comment

For shooting fast moving objects, you might want to pick this 24-70 lens. However, for shooting lowlight static objects (e.g., museum environments) you might want to pick the 24-105 IS because of the IS advantage. For shooting portraits with background blurring, either pick the 24-70 or the 24-105, both are equally good. There is no difference between 70mm at f/2.8 vs 105mm at f/4 for the purpose of background blurring.
